2017 was a fantastic year for celebrity weddings. Just Jared and Brides Magazine compiled lists of some of the most memorable celebrity nuptials of the past year. Below are some ideas that they used for their own weddings. Who knows? Maybe they will provide some inspiration for your upcoming Big Day as well!
For some couples, it’s all about the fantasy. What could be a better fantasy than the one that Serena Williams and Ohanian chose than Disney’s Beauty and the Beast? Among the notable guests on the list were sister, Venus Williams, Beyoncé and her family, Eva Longoria and Kim Kardashian.
For The Big Bang Theory’s headlining star, Jason Parsons and partner of 14 years, Todd Spiewak, nothing else but NYC’s Rainbow Room atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza would do. With its rotating dance floor, it was the perfect setting in the Big Apple for the two to tie the knot at last!
Country music’s Legends singer, Kelsea Ballerini and Australian singer, Morgan Evans chose a beach-side ceremony in Cabo San Lucas Mexico in early December as the place that held the most magic for them. Kelsea chose a white lace gown by Berta to walk down the sand ‘aisle’ barefoot and met up with her handsome groom who was wearing a white tuxedo by Joseph Abboud.
Former NFL football player Kerry Rhodes and Nicky Whelan chose the posh setting of the Beverly Hills Hotel in April for a ceremony officiated by Star Trek the Next Generations’ Marina Sirtis. The cooler spring temps were perfect for Nicky’s long sleeved wedding gown J’Anton Couture while Kerry looked strikingly handsome in a blue Tom James tuxedo.
Even though Game of Thrones star, Jason Mamoa and Lisa Bonnet have been together for more than ten years referred to each other as husband and wife and wore wedding rings, they hadn’t made it official until October of 2017 in a private ceremony. It wasn’t until they opened up their Topanga California ranch to celebrate home-style with friends in November! On the guest list were other A-listers which included newlyweds Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander, who also tied the knot in the summer of 2017 in Ibiza. Needless to say, both sets of couples know the value of keeping their weddings private with just a small gathering of friends.
In May of 2017, it was Pippa Middleton’s and James Matthew’s turn to walk down the aisle. Hardly surprising is that the couple did it with almost as much aristocratic pomp and circumstance as did Pippa’s sister, Kate, and Prince William just a few short years ago.
Prince George was a pageboy for the wedding while his little sister, Princess Charlotte, would act as a diminutive bridesmaid. Also in attendance was Prince Harry and hi fiancé’ Meghan Markle.
